🏃🏼‍♂️ Step into our World of Movement 🏃🏼‍♂️

By: Physiotherapy Department

Discover how physiotherapy empowers individuals with cerebral palsy to gain mobility and independence.

In this hands-on activity, participants can explore assistive devices, adaptive tricycles, and therapy equipment that support functional positions and movements such as kneeling, standing, walking, and cycling.

Guided sessions also showcase how physiotherapy encourages participation in adaptive games and playful peer interactions — making movement both meaningful and fun.

 

🍴 Taste Our World 🍴

By: Speech and Language Pathology Department

Hungry for a meaningful experience? Swing by our booth and step into the vibrant world of a Singaporean hawker centre, through the lens of our clients.

At this experiential booth, you’ll use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices to order iconic local dishes and even get a taste of them – specially modified for individuals with feeding and swallowing challenges. Once you’ve had a bite, use the AAC systems again to share your review.

Discover how adaptive strategies and tools help our clients communicate meaningfully and enjoy mealtimes safely! 

 

👂🏻 Step into our Sensory World 👂🏻

By: CPAS School (East) High Support Programme

Participants will be led to a themed room, designed to provide a diverse range of sensory activities and stimuli.

The room evokes the experience of a forest, featuring sounds like birds chirping, water flowing, textures such as leaves, grass and branches, and the smell of cedarwood.

By interacting with these various elements, participants will gain insights into sensory-rich learning experiences that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Have you heard of Boccia? This para sport, developed specifically for people with cerebral palsy, has gained tremendous popularity, especially after the 2024 Paralympic Games.

At this booth, you will have the opportunity to learn the basics of Boccia and hear from National Boccia Para-athletes from CPAS.

They will share their tips and demonstrate how this deceptively simple, yet exciting sport is enjoyed by many in the disability community. 

📖 The Caregiver’s Journey: Behind the Stories 📖

Caring for people with disabilities is often challenging, but our CPAS caregivers are an incredible source of inspiration.

Come join us and listen to the heartfelt stories of caregivers who support individuals with Cerebral Palsy and/or other forms of disabilities.

Gain a deeper understanding of the joys and challenges that come with caring for loved ones and learn how caregivers navigate the complexities of daily life while offering invaluable support.
