2025 CCAs
Sports Day 2025
First event of the year to stretch our frame runners in a stadium environment. The event provides a familiar environment yet unfamiliar ground for running. Our students who normally practice in school now get a chance to push them in a more competitive setting.

National & Inter School Para Athletics Championship 2025
Second big event of the year to show case our frame runners in the finisher event. As Frame running itself is still a relatively new sport in Singapore – our young athletes got a chance to introduce the activity as well as what they have learnt on the frame so far!
The event gave good exposure both ways and hope that future opportunities will grow and present themselves as Frame running becomes more well known!

Haw Par National Youth Para Athletics Championships 2025
Last big event for the year, especially for Reon as he is competing in 2 events!
One last push to see how the training we’ve had at River Valley High School’s stadium has been paying off. As our Athletes develop, we can see big improvements in just they way they move on the track – looking forward to next year as they become even better athletes!

The Water Play CCA offers students a fun and therapeutic environment to engage in sensory-based water activities. This CCA comprises students from different classes, mainly from the High Support Programme, coming together to explore, play, and learn through water experiences. The sessions are designed to gradually build water confidence while promoting sensory integration, body awareness, and physical coordination.
Throughout the year, under the guidance of our Hydrotherapy Master Class Certified Teachers, students participate in a variety of engaging activities. They progress from initial sensory exploration—such as splashing, pouring, and bubble play—to confidently engaging in water-based activities for up to 30 minutes. Over time, they develop the ability to float with support, move their limbs in the water, and perform simple coordination exercises.
This structured progression encourages each student to overcome challenges at their own pace, fostering confidence, resilience, and joy in every session. Through these experiences, students not only develop physical skills and coordination but also demonstrate resilience and growing comfort in new sensory environments. The Water Play CCA provides a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive platform for students to enhance their coordination, wellbeing, and self-assurance through the joy of water-based exploration.
Objectives:
Build water confidence and promote sensory awareness through enjoyable, hands-on experiences.
Strengthen coordination, balance, and motor skills through guided movement in water.
Encourage students to explore, experiment, and express themselves in a safe environment.
Nurture Resilience and Confidence as students overcome challenges at their own pace.
Support relaxation, social interaction, and overall physical and emotional wellbeing.

Students get to experience creating art focusing on the art-making process using the multi-sensory approach. The CCA comprises student from both the High Support Programme and Functional Programme coming together to learn as we believe that art hold no boundaries. Focusing on self-expression and valuing the ability of each individual, students learn useful techniques from the Art Instructor, Ms Lee Sher Ley.
The CCA provides a platform for students to showcase their talents and expand their knowledge in art and artmaking through different techniques such as blending, mixing, and using everyday items to create art. Visual Arts provide the freedom to manipulate various materials in an organic and unstructured way, ultimately leading to the creation of unique artwork by individual student.
Objectives:
Develop on-task skills and hand-eye co-ordination
Provide opportunities for creative and artistic expressions
Value art exploration and experimentation in each individual young artist
Celebrating Culture & Creativity at Colours of Jurong!
The Jurong Cluster Arts & Culture Day, fondly known as “Colours of Jurong,” was a lively and colourful celebration of community spirit, held on a bright Saturday morning in April. The event brought together residents, families, and students in a fun-filled carnival featuring live performances, creative workshops, and cultural showcases.
We are proud to share that students from the Special Arts CCA at CPAS School (West) played a meaningful role at the event. They set up a delightful booth themed “Kuehs of Singapore,” which quickly became a crowd favourite! Visitors were invited to get hands-on and create their own clay fridge magnets inspired by beloved local treats like ang ku kueh, kueh bahulu, and Gem biscuits.

Our World, Our Way – An Art Exhibition by CPAS Students
Behind every artwork is a story of strength, resilience, and creativity. Our World, Our Way, the latest art exhibition by students from Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore (CPAS) School (East & West), showcases how young artists overcome challenges and celebrate life through art.
The exhibition features works created by students aged 7 to 18 from the Special Arts CCA. Using diverse mediums such as paint, clay, lines, scribbles, and symbols, the students present bold colours, expressive shapes, textured patterns, and imaginative forms. Each piece is a powerful lens into how they see, feel, and respond to the world around them.
