Remember Suzy? She is our long-time ambassador and iconic donation box, who helps raise awareness and funds for essential programmes and services which our clients need. Since 1984, she has been stationed at various locations around Singapore such as in malls or supermarkets.
#SpareYourChangeforSuzy on World Cerebral Palsy Day
World Cerebral Palsy (CP) Day is on 6 October 2020 this year. As the leading social service agency assisting persons with the condition, CPAS dedicates the entire month of October as World Cerebral Palsy Month.To commemorate World CP Day, the #SpareYourChangeforSuzy campaign will run from 1 August to 31 October 2020. By participating in our campaign and dropping your donation in, you can make a direct positive impact for our cause. The campaign also aims to reach out to at least 100 individual/ corporate fundraisers to help CPAS achieve a target of S$100,000 in donations.
All funds raised will be matched dollar-for-dollar under the Toteboard Enhanced Fund-raising (EFR) Programme. This means that your impact will be doubled!
Four Ways to Participate
#1 Digital Fundraising: Whether you are an individual or corporate, you can start a campaign to #SpareYourChangeforSuzy. View ongoing campaigns at: bit.ly/SYCgiving.
#2 Internal Fundraisers (for Corporate/ Schools): A partner-led initiative to tap on existing CSR/ VIA efforts to raise funds and contribute to the campaign. E.g. Organise a pay-as-you-wish virtual workout session and get your colleagues to donate and sweat for a good cause.
#3 Placement of Suzy Donation Boxes (for Corporate/ Schools): Help encourage donation of loose change in the most traditional way.
#4 Matching Funds (by Corporates): By co-matching funds donated within a company or to the overall campaign amount, it encourages employees and the public to give more, knowing that their donations will be matched and impact multiplied.
