Meet Bing Yao, a trainee in the Goodwill, Rehabilitation and Occupational Workshop (GROW) at Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore (CPAS). Aged 30, Bing Yao has Spastic Quadriplegia, a form of cerebral palsy affecting his walking, movements, and hearing.
GROW is a sheltered workshop providing vocational training and employment for adults aged 18 to 55, with cerebral palsy or multiple disabilities. To equip trainees for work in open employment, the programme also includes mobility training and social engagement.
Like Bing Yao, the Trainees in GROW are involved in a variety of projects and earn an allowance for the work they do. Some of them also participate in a weekly art programme, producing artworks that are either sold or printed on CPAS merchandises.
To continue providing GROW trainees with sheltered employment opportunities, GROW relies on corporate and individual donations to sustain its operations. GROW's services are essential, as they allow trainees to earn monthly allowances, develop new skills, build self-esteem, and connect socially with the public.
There are many other adults like Bing Yao who require your support, to live fulfilled and dignified lives.
Your generous donations will help to fund access to essential services and programmes such as GROW at CPAS.
Thank you!
