Campaign: Spare Your Change for Suzy 2025 #SYC25 #SG60
Campaign Duration: 01 August 2025 - 31 December 2025
Campaign Description:
SG60: Celebrating Suzy, the iconic Singapore Donation Box
When Singaporeans think of donation boxes, they think of Suzy—the iconic Suzy Doll donation box that stood in supermarkets, fast food restaurants, and retail locations, where many have fond memories of dropping their coins to help those in need.
However, with the shift to cashless giving, the number of donation boxes has dwindled and donations through these boxes have significantly decreased. This decline affects the very cause that Suzy represents and the community she has served for decades.
For those who may not know, Suzy represents a girl with cerebral palsy, a lifelong, non-curable condition affecting a person's posture and mobility. She belongs to CPAS, a specialist social service agency offering early intervention, special education, sheltered employment therapy and day activity services for individuals with cerebral palsy or multiple disabilities.
As we celebrate SG60 and look towards the future, we are reminded of the impact that small acts of kindness, like those coins dropped into Suzy's donation box, can have on our community. Over the next 60 days, we aim to raise over $150,000 in support of over 800 children and adults with cerebral palsy or multiple disabilities under the care of CPAS. While the donation boxes may be fewer, the spirit of giving that Suzy represents lives on through your contribution to this campaign.
Every dollar you contribute will benefit from a boosted corporate matching from an anonymous corporate partner up to $20,000! On top of that, Tote Board’s Enhanced Fund-Raising Programme (EFR) will contribute an additional 40% in matching funds!
